Mind of God

For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. (Hebrews 4:12)

My hands have made both heaven and earth, and they are mine. I, the LORD, have spoken! "I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word. (Isaiah 66:2)

In his goodness he chose to make us his own children by giving us His true word. And we, out of all creation, became his choice possession. (James 1:18)

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” (Luke 11:28)

The scroll containing the messages of Isaiah the prophet was handed to him, and he unrolled the scroll to the place where it says: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord's favor has come.[a]" He rolled up the scroll, handed it back to the attendant, and sat down. Everyone in the synagogue stared at him intently. Then he said, "This Scripture has come true today before your very eyes!" (Luke 4:16)

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me--that Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. (1 Corinthians 15:3)
